What motivated you to become a Pathologist?
Throughout my medical training I discovered pathology was the specialty that let me spend the most time on the science of medicine. Once I became a pathology resident I discovered the art of pathology, especially in the diagnosis of difficult cases. I quickly learned that there were more grey areas in pathology than I originally expected. Navigating the grey areas in pathology has kept me interested in pathology and makes every day an exciting challenge!
What do you love most about Loyola Pathology?
Loyola Pathology uses a subspecialty system that allows each pathologist to focus on their areas of expertise. This really gives me the ability to provide an expert diagnosis in my field. When I encounter a case I am not familiar with, my friendly colleagues are always there to help!
What is one thing people may not know about you?
I used to work as a construction worker and tennis instructor at a country club!
