Rachel Lichtenberg, MD

Rachel attended medical school at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, with rotations at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva and EMMS hospital in Nazareth. Along the way she had wonderful teachers, who inspired her to consider almost every area of medicine. She ultimately landed in pathology, where every day is challenging and interesting, and she gets to keep in touch with all branches of medicine and surgery.

She enjoys every area of pathology, with sub-specialty interests including cytopathology and thoracic pathology.

On why she chose Loyola: “I love working at Loyola because of the wonderful people here, the variety of challenging cases, and the spirit of service that involves our department in community outreach programs.”

Outside of work, Rachel love to spend time with her daughter, read books together, and be outside hiking and biking.
