Benjamin Lefko, MD
Benjamin was born down the road from us in Oak Park, Illinois and grew up in the Charleston SC area. He considers both places home and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine, where he spent his preclinical years in Barbados, and rotated at various hospitals throughout the Chicago area for his clinicals. He is interested in many areas of pathology (“undifferentiated” as we say!), and is excited to learn more about each subspecialty. Outside of work he likes to play chess, basketball, and Pokemon! And if you ask him, he’s a pretty good cook too.
On why he chose Loyola: “because of the apparent camaraderie among the house-staff, the excitement everyone shares about pathology, and how inviting the program was to him throughout the application process.”
