Joy M. Hoang, MD
Joy hails from Houston, Texas, where she graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. She is currently most interested in hematopathology.
Her interests outside of work include playing the cello, reading, collecting comics, sewing, playing board games and video games, and practicing Kendo (a type of modern Japanese martial art). She and her wife also enjoy spending time with their two rambunctious cats, Zhenya and Svetlana!
On why she chose Loyola: “Everyone I met during interviews seemed happy and passionate about their job. Since being at Loyola, I can truly say that the faculty, staff, and other residents here have all been incredibly kind and supportive. Ultimately, it's been a great environment to explore my academic and personal interests."
